Our Mandate is:
  • connect learners to learning opportunities
  • provide basic literacy and academic learning opportunities
  • facilitate courses and workshops as needed

PRCEC promotes adult learning through 2 distinct, yet complimentary programs:
  • VTALP - Volunteer Tutor Adult Literacy Program
  • CALP - Community Adult Learning

Our programs fall under 4 main headings:
  • Literacy - reading, writing & basic numeracy
  • Employability - programs that you are required to take for work or to help you get work
  • Community Need - programs that offer information to community members on almost any
topic, such as health & wellness, seniors programs, etc
  • General Interest - any program that does not fit into the first 3 headings, such as crafts
